With the new regulations of § 24a of the Road Traffic Act on August 21, 2024, the limit for THC in the blood serum of cannabis users in road traffic was raised to 3.5 ng/ml. This adjustment represents a significant change in the handling of cannabis in road traffic in Germany. Previously, the limit was 1.0 ng/ml THC in the blood serum, above which an administrative offense was assumed. The new regulation refers to § 24a of the Road Traffic Act (StVG), which regulates the driving of vehicles under the influence of intoxicating substances, including cannabis in Germany.
